Development Updates

May 2020 Update: Construction has been on-going this spring at Fan Pier Marina under the state’s construction guidelines. The land base utility work is in process. The new docks have been delivered to the site via water. The docks were dropped into the harbor at East Boston and floated over to the marina. Starting on May 12, the Local Union 56 pile drivers began their work to install 40 new piles. Once the piles are in place, the docks will be moved into their location and secured. Next, the electrical pedestals will be installed and wired. If all goes as planned, we will be ready for occupancy by mid to late June. During this construction period, we will provide temporary dockage at Boston Yacht Haven and a water shuttle to Fan Pier.

August 5th, 2020 Update: All the slips on Docks A – D have pedestals installed and wired.  Fan Pier provides electrical services up to 480 volt 3 Phase.  Work continues on installing finger docks on E Dock.  The marina is still accepting seasonal vessels. 

Jan 10th, 2021 Update: Out with the old and in with the new! The second phase of the Fan Pier Marina Build out has begun. The old "D-Dock" has been taken away making way for the brand new Ipe hardwood "D-Dock" along with its many 60ft fingers. Not to far behind it you will see our many new power pedestals getting installed making power and water available at every slip. In the coming days we will begin the install of "E-Dock" right in front of the ICA all just in time for our Summer 2021 season! Slips are renting fast so please make sure to reach out! 

June 1st, 2021 Update: We are getting close to being complete! "D-Dock" is finished and so is "E". We are wrapping up security cameras and security gates in the coming days! Power and water is fully functional across the entire facility and our new pump-out boat should be arriving to the marina this month.
